Part dance club, part book club, part support group, part trivia night, and part crafting circle.
Welcome to the MotivAction Club—a community of over 300 international practitioners dedicated to promoting planet-friendly behaviors.

It is challenging to engage and empower audiences to adopt habits that benefit their future, health, and the planet. While conservation, sustainability, and climate teams are just beginning to weave social science and behavior change strategies into their programs, there is still much to explore and discover about what works.

But you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Our club hosts engaging mini-workshops, interactive webinars, and supportive email exchanges where we delve into the insights, tools, and techniques that drive meaningful and lasting change.

And we would love for you to join us! 🙌

We dance a little 💃, share plenty of laughs 🤣, and learn a ton 💡 about what it truly takes to implement successful behavior change programs in the real world.

Step into the club to connect with like-minded professionals tackling similar projects, enjoy judgment-free support for your initiatives, and elevate your skills in motivating action for our planet!

Membership costs $120/year, which can be paid annually or monthly ($10/month). Click here to see membership details.

To know what you're signing up for, here is the 2026 lineup (Feb to May).

Feb 26, 2026, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (1 hour)
Tending to Trends
I will share a set of emerging behaviors and expectations relevant to conservation and sustainability work. For each one, we'll analyze them against the Diffusion of Innovation Theory to discuss barriers to growth, support and motivators needed, and potential audiences to engage. It will be a fun hour of learning about new trends and putting theory into practice.

Mar 26, 2026, 3:00 PM Eastern Time (1 hour)
Engaging the Spheres of Influence
Our audience members are surrounded and influenced by everyone around them - from other household members to colleagues. Together, we will explore a series of behavior change scenarios to identify common spheres of influence and strategies to engage the audience's broader social circles. There will be an opportunity to submit your project for use as a scenario.

Apr 23, 2026, 12:00 PM Eastern Time (1 hour)
The Art & Practice of Facilitation: Designing Better Meetings for Conservation Impact
Strong facilitation is a core leadership skill for conservation leaders who regularly convene diverse stakeholders around complex, high-stakes challenges. This one-hour session introduces the fundamentals of facilitation while offering practical entry points into effective meeting design.

May 21, 2026, 4:00 PM Eastern Time (1 hour)

Book Club: The Art of Gathering, by Priya Parker
Priya Parker has been studying the role that gatherings play in our lives and the factors that set great gatherings (i.e., ones we want to come back to) apart from boring ones. Her book offers exceptional insights into how we design community spaces (e.g., field trips, events, conferences, workshops, stakeholder meetings, webinars) for our programs and audiences. There is no pressure to read the book beforehand; I'll walk us through the key points as we brainstorm ways to apply Priya's best practices.

The event lineup for August to November will be announced in early July.

PLUS, membership gives you access to watch replays of previous events! 🎬
